Reporting Relationship: Reports to Director of Academic Affairs and Director of Operations
Summary: We are seeking a professional and pleasant individual to manage our reception area at our Vancouver campus. This is a pivotal role as the candidate will serve as the primary contact person for the day-to-day operations of the school.
Desired Qualifications: - At least one year relevant experience - Superb interpersonal skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Excellent phone manners - Experience in using office computer applications (MS Office suite) - Administrative training is an asset
Duties:
- Provide administrative support for the Director of Operations and other administrative staff.
- Handle all aspects of administrative assistance, including preparation of memos, notices, web-research, and preparation of other documents.
- Welcome guests and assist visitors.
- Answer general questions from students and visitors.
- Answer multi-line phone system; take messages and transfer calls.
- Assist with course evaluations at the end of each semester.
- Data entry, including class attendance, tracking of placement tests, scheduling CLBP tests, and course evaluation results.
- Assist with room bookings.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies.
- Troubleshoot photocopy machine.
- Update bulletin boards.
- Maintain orderly appearance of the front desk and lobby area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
