University transfer

Students are expected to attend Alexander College and follow the standard college/university model, taking a series of courses over a two-year period in a variety of academic areas. Students who intend to continue their academic career at another college or university are advised to prepare an academic plan to ensure that courses taken at Alexander are accepted for credit at the next institution.

Our academic advisors will help each student prepare an individual program of study to meet his or her specific career goals, or simply develop a broad liberal arts education. Such a program of study normally involves a selection of courses from several disciplines that most interest the student and best meet their needs for a coherent program.

Alexander College is continuously negotiating the transfer of credit for its courses at colleges and universities throughout Canada, the United States and elsewhere. However individual course equivalencies are judged on a case-by-case basis. Students can check course equivalencies within B.C. by consulting the BC Transfer Guide . However we recommend that students consult with our academic advisors to investigate and verify transferability of specific courses with colleges and universities within and outside of British Columbia.
